This upgrade kit is for existing V1 customers who want the updated external mounting plate, improved alignment, Vent Gap Feature, and External Plate Retention Tether without replacing the full fan assembly.

If your current fan is working well, this is the simplest way to update the parts that improve setup, retention, and airflow path.

What This Upgrades

  • Updated External Mounting Plate

    The new outside plate is designed for a more robust, stable interface against the tent mesh, with improved alignment during setup.

  • Vent Gap Feature

    Helps create space between the mesh and the door/window panel so air still has a path to move when rain, privacy, or tent configuration requires the opening to stay covered.

  • External Plate Retention Tether

    Helps retain the external plate during setup and removal. The tether can attach to a GFC T-slot, route through the universal paracord cleat/pass-through, or be captured in the tent zipper, depending on your setup.

What’s Included

Each V1 Mounting Upgrade Kit includes:

  • one updated external mounting plate

  • one External Plate Retention Tether

Fan assembly, fan guard, USB-C cable, and power bank not included.

How Many Do I Need?

Order one upgrade kit per fan assembly.

If you have a Single Intake or Single Exhaust kit, order quantity 1.

If you have a Dual Ventilation setup, order quantity 2.

Compatibility

This upgrade is designed for earlier Lakeland Magnetic Fan Mount kits.

It updates the external mounting plate and tether only. It does not convert a V1 kit into the full current version.

The full current kit also includes the integrated fan guard, protected USB-C input, and updated fan assembly design.
